The bill would amend Subchapter B of Chapter 2269 of the Government Code, regarding contracting and delivery procedures for construction projects.The bill would authorize a governmental entity to implement a prequalification process to eliminate unqualified offerors from consideration for a civil works project and specify requirements and authorizations with regards to the process.The bill would take effect on September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
