                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 11, 2017      TO: Honorable James White, Chair, House Committee on Corrections      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3269 by Coleman (Relating to certain contraband searches conducted by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code as it relates to routine contraband searches conducted during certain months. The Department of Criminal Justice anticipates any additional work resulting from the parovisions of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
