                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 7, 2017      TO: Honorable Dan Huberty, Chair, House Committee on Public Education      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3318 by Gooden (Relating to public access to local innovation plans adopted by school districts of innovation.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would require a district of innovation to post its current local innovation plan to the district's website and provide a copy of proposed, adopted, or renewed plans to TEA for posting on the TEA website. TEA anticipates that any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.The bill would take effect September 1, 2017, or immediately if passed with the necessary voting margins. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. The bill may result insome minimal costs for districts of innovation, but participation as a district of innovation is voluntary.
