                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 11, 2017      TO: Honorable Charles Schwertner, Chair, Senate Committee on Health & Human Services      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3338 by White (Relating to the issuance of identification documentation for foster care youth.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Family Code relating to the issuance of identification documentation for foster care youth. Based on information provided by the Department of Public Safety and Department of Family and Protective Services, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.The bill take effect immediately upon a two-thirds votes in each house, otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
