                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 7, 2017      TO: Honorable Jodie Laubenberg, Chair, House Committee on Elections      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB365 by Springer (Relating to a study of the uniform election date.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Election Code relating to a study of the uniform election date. The Secretary of State assumes any additional work associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house or on September 1, 2017. The bill would amend the Election Code relating to a study of the uniform election date.
