The bill would amend the Election Code relating to the use of a mobile phone by a person near a polling place.The Secretary of State assumes any additional work associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, or on September 1, 2017.
