A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to training required to qualify for or renew a license
issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 37.008, Water Code, is amended by adding
Subsection (e) to read as follows:
(e) For all training required to qualify for or renew a
license, the commission must provide:
(1) a location for the training within 100 miles of the
place of employment of a person who is required to receive the
training;
(2) reimbursement for travel and lodging expenses
incurred in attending training if training is not available at a
location described by Subdivision (1); or
(3) online training.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
