The bill would amend the Election Code and Government Code relating to the cancellation of a person's voter registration on notice that the person has acknowledged that the person is not a citizen.This analysis assumes any additional work associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed by the Texas Secretary of State using existing resources.The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
