The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to restrict public access to information relating to certain misdemeanors punishable by fine only. Information would become restricted five years after a final disposition. The Office of Court Administration has indicated that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
