                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 13, 2017      TO: Honorable Richard Peña Raymond, Chair, House Committee on Human Services      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB740 by Burkett (Relating to the issuance and renewal of licenses and registrations for certain child-care facilities and the amount of the fees for those licenses.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Human Resources Code relating to issuance and renewal of licenses and registrations for certain child-care facilities and the amount of the fees for those licenses. Based on information provided by the Department of Family and Protective Services, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
