The bill would amend the Election Code relating to requiring a presidential elector to vote for the candidates for president and vice president who won the popular vote in this state for those offices. The Secretary of State assumes any additional work associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed using existing resources. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2017.
