                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 11, 2017      TO: Honorable Richard Peña Raymond, Chair, House Committee on Human Services      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB871 by Roberts (Relating to the provision of child and family services by the Department of Family and Protective Services.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Family Code relating to the provision of child and family services by the Department of Family and Protective Services. This analysis assumes that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.   Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
