The bill amends the Government Code to expand the veteran employment preference qualification to include spouses of disabled veterans with total disability. It is assumed that any additional costs associated with the implementation of the bill would not be significant and could be absorbed within existing state resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
