                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 19, 2017      TO: Honorable Lyle Larson, Chair, House Committee on Natural Resources      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB922 by Workman (Relating to the creation of the Southwestern Travis County Groundwater Conservation District; providing authority to issue bonds; providing authority to impose fees.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Special District Local Laws Code creating the Southwestern Travis County Groundwater Conservation District. The bill would create a board and appoint temporary directors until the uniform election date in November 2019. The bill would allow the district to collect fees on well construction, permit renewals, service connection, and production. The district would not have tax authority.
