R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The 75th birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed
cause for celebration, and Patricia Lee Kilbane is marking this
significant milestone in her life on April 29, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1942, the former
Patricia Ann Lee is the daughter of Thomas Edward Lee and Margaret
Mary Garland Lee; she grew up in her hometown with seven brothers
and three sisters; and
WHEREAS, She graduated from Xavier University in Cincinnati
and taught in Montessori schools in Cleveland, Dallas, and San
Antonio for 26 years; subsequently, she taught for 11 years in the
North East Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, On August 3, 1968, she was joined in matrimony to
Michael Joseph Kilbane; the couple shared a rewarding relationship
of 36 years before his passing in 2004; today, Mrs. Kilbane is
devoted to a fine family that has grown to include seven
grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Meeting life's challenges with resilience,
optimism, and determination, Patricia Kilbane is an inspiration to
many people, and she holds a special place in the hearts of all who
are privileged to know her; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Patricia Lee Kilbane on her 75th
birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mrs. Kilbane as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
