H.R. No. 1308
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Josue M. Villarreal of San Pedro Elementary School
has been named the 2016-2017 Elementary Teacher of the Year in the
Robstown Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and
WHEREAS, A second grade bilingual teacher, Mr. Villarreal
has taught in the Robstown ISD for a decade, and throughout his
tenure, he has sought to instill in his students the strong work
ethic and commitment to self-discipline that pave the way to
opportunity; and
WHEREAS, Josue Villarreal exemplifies the passion,
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our
best teachers, and he has set a standard of excellence to which all
in his profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Josue M. Villarreal on his
selection as the 2016-2017 Elementary Teacher of the Year in the
Robstown Independent School District and extend to him sincere best
wishes for continued success with his important work; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Villarreal as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
