 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Juhi Amodwala is celebrating a significant
 milestone in her life when she graduates from The University of
 Texas at Austin on May 20, 2017; and
 WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Sonali and Alkesh
 Amodwala, Juhi Amodwala came to the United States from Mumbai,
 India, when she was two months old, and she became a naturalized
 American citizen in 2005; demonstrating impressive commitment to
 her studies at UT, she is earning bachelor's degrees in both supply
 chain management and government with a minor in management
 information systems; and
 WHEREAS, During her time as a student, Ms. Amodwala has been
 involved in the McCombs Leadership Program and the Liberal Arts
 Refugee Alliance, and she also served as a project leader for the
 Campus Environmental Center; she has additionally volunteered her
 time as a committee member and president of CHYK West Austin, where
 she was tasked with planning and facilitating a charity
 fund-raiser, and she previously took part in an exchange program at
 Università Luigi Bocconi in Milan, Italy; in 2016, she had the honor
 of representing UT Austin in the National Undergraduate Supply
 Chain and Operations Case Competition, at which her team won first
 place; and
 WHEREAS, Along the way, Ms. Amodwala has ably served her
 fellow Texans as a legislative aide in the office of State
 Representative Ina Minjarez, and she gained further work experience
 while taking summer internships at 3M and the Boeing Company and
 serving as a research assistant at the Clark Center for Australian
 and New Zealand Studies; a young woman of diverse interests, she is
 an avid reader who is also passionate about traveling, hiking, and
 photography, and she spent many years studying and mastering
 Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance form; and
 WHEREAS, The exceptional skill, discipline, and dedication
 that Juhi Amodwala has shown throughout her college career surely
 herald a future bright with promise, and it is a pleasure to join
 her family and friends in honoring her as she embarks on the next
 exciting chapter of her life; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Juhi Amodwala on her graduation
 from The University of Texas at Austin and extend to her sincere
 best wishes for success and happiness in the years to come; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Amodwala as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
