H.R. No. 1962
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Juan Martinez Robles has been presented with an
Outstanding Award from the Project GRAD program at Texas A&M
University--Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS, Project GRAD is part of the university's Programs
for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which furthers the
goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to low-income,
first-generation, and underrepresented students; in receiving an
Outstanding Award, Mr. Robles was recognized for his notable record
of scholastic achievement; and
WHEREAS, A freshman at TAMU--CC, Mr. Robles is working toward
a degree in biomedical science; after graduating, he plans to
attend medical school and pursue a career in obstetrics and
gynecology; and
WHEREAS, Juan Martinez Robles is indeed deserving of this
prestigious honor, and he may look forward to a future bright with
promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Juan Martinez Robles on his receipt
of a Project GRAD Outstanding Award and extend to him sincere best
wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Robles as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
