R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Kingdom Council of Interdependent Christian
Churches and Ministries is marking its 25th anniversary in 2017,
and this occasion provides a fitting opportunity to honor this
notable organization; and
WHEREAS, Founded by the husband and wife team of Bishop David
M. Copeland and the Reverend Dr. Claudette A. Copeland, the council
is an international, interdenominational fellowship of churches
and clergy dedicated to cultivating spiritual leaders, fostering
vital ministries, and strengthening families; and
WHEREAS, While working to share and preserve biblical
traditions and teachings, the Kingdom Council seeks to advance both
the internal development and the outreach efforts of its religious
community; the organization benefits from the expert leadership of
Bishop Copeland, who also serves as senior pastor of the New
Creation Christian Fellowship in San Antonio; and
WHEREAS, Over the past quarter century, the Kingdom Council
has empowered Christian leaders to make a positive difference in
the lives of countless individuals and families in the United
States and beyond, and its members are indeed deserving of special
recognition as they celebrate this important milestone in the
history of their organization; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Kingdom
Council of Interdependent Christian Churches and Ministries and
extend to all those associated with the council sincere best wishes
for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
