No. 2313 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Hannah Jordan Bevers has ably served her fellow Texans as an aide in the office of State Representative Gene Wu during the 85th Legislative Session; and WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Bevers has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; her notable contributions to the office have included overseeing the submission of resolution requests as well as managing the representative's schedule; in addition, she has diligently reviewed and managed legislation referred to the House Committees on Culture, Recreation, and Tourism, Environmental Regulation, International Trade and Intergovernmental Affairs, and Natural Resources; she has also gained valuable experience in the field of public service and learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and WHEREAS, A member of the graduating Class of 2017 at The University of Texas at Austin, Ms. Bevers studied government with a minor in French; she has also been named a J. J. Pickle Undergraduate Mentorship Fellow, and she has served as Green Offices Project Leader for the UT Campus Environmental Center; moreover, she has completed internships with the university's Office of Sustainability and the Student Conservation Association, and she has further distinguished herself by earning a certificate in business and public policy from the McCombs School of Business; and WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas Legislature hereby commend Hannah Jordan Bevers for her service as a legislative aide in the office of State Representative Gene Wu and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Bevers as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
