H.R. No. 2455 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Graduation from high school is one of life's pivotal milestones, and Savannah Araujo is celebrating that significant achievement as a member of the Class of 2017 at the Americas High School Libertas Academy in El Paso; and WHEREAS, Ms. Araujo is among the students who have completed their secondary education in the academy's Advanced Academics Program, which features specialized curricula focused on law, government, and public administration; and WHEREAS, The daughter of Pedro Araujo Jr. and Leticia Araujo, Ms. Araujo has participated in numerous extracurricular activities throughout her high school career, including DECA, the Sierra Student Coalition, student council, and yearbook, and she belongs to the El Paso chapter of Top Teens of America, the National Honor Society, and the National Technical Honor Society; she has further distinguished herself through her involvement in orchestra and earned a Division I rating at the University Interscholastic League Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest; after graduating, she plans to study either science at the University of Oregon or business at Kansas State University; and WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Savannah Araujo on the occasion of her graduation from the Americas High School Libertas Academy and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Araujo as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
