R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Graduation from high school is one of life's pivotal
milestones, and Cassandra Allen is celebrating that significant
achievement as a member of the Class of 2017 at the Americas High
School Libertas Academy in El Paso; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Allen is among the students who have completed
their secondary education in the academy's Advanced Academics
Program, which features specialized curricula focused on law,
government, and public administration; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of Cristina Allen and James Allen,
Ms. Allen is graduating in the top 10 percent of her class; she is a
member of the National Honor Society and the National Society of
High School Scholars, and as a member of the varsity choir, she sat
on the choir committee and earned recognition as best junior
soprano; after graduation, she plans to pursue a double major in
music and forensics at Sam Houston State University and eventually
embark on a career as a medical examiner; and
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and
friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with
promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Cassandra Allen on the occasion of
her graduation from the Americas High School Libertas Academy and
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and
happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Allen as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
