R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Graduation from high school is one of life's pivotal
milestones, and Brittany Anders is celebrating that significant
achievement as a member of the Class of 2017 at the Americas High
School Libertas Academy in El Paso; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Anders is among the students who have completed
their secondary education in the academy's Advanced Academics
Program, which features specialized curricula focused on law,
government, and public administration; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of Reginald Anders and Wilma Anders,
Ms. Anders has distinguished herself as a participant in mock trial
and the AVID program and as a member of the National Honor Society;
she was selected to receive a President's Scholarship from Northern
Arizona University as well as a grant from St. Edward's University
in Austin, where she plans to continue her studies; and
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and
friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with
promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Brittany Anders on the occasion of
her graduation from the Americas High School Libertas Academy and
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and
happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Anders as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
