No. 2531 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Words cannot express the sorrow felt at the tragic loss of James Clayton Young of Alba, who died on April 29, 2017, at the age of 38; and WHEREAS, Jimmy Young was born in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, on August 4, 1978, to James Harold and Linda Kay Morrison Young; a longtime resident of Texas, he was employed as a supervisor for Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Terrell; he also raised and showed milking Shorthorn heifers; and WHEREAS, Mr. Young treasured the time he spent in the company of his loved ones, and he was particularly close to his sister, Chris Wallace, and her son, Clayton; he coached his nephew's baseball team, the Lone Oak Buffaloes, and each year on Clayton's birthday, he treated the whole family to a Texas Rangers game; he was also a devoted fan of NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys, as well as sports teams in his native Pennsylvania; and WHEREAS, Renowned for his willingness to pitch in whenever he was needed, Jimmy Young possessed a generosity of spirit that was widely appreciated, and although he was taken much too soon, the memory of his warmth and kindness will shine forever in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of James Clayton Young and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his family: to his sister, Chris Wallace, and her husband, Rodney; to his nephew, Clayton Wallace; to his aunts, May Hemminger and Sandy Morrison; to his uncle, Robert Morrison; to his special friends, Danny Mac and Shelley Huddleston; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of James Clayton Young.
