 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The House District 106 Internship Program was
 established to provide an opportunity for young Texans to become
 involved in government and the political process, and an
 outstanding group of high school students from Denton County has
 been selected to participate in this initiative; and
 WHEREAS, Designed to prepare the next generation of leaders,
 the internship initiative attracted some 100 applicants from
 District 106; a selection committee of area leaders helped narrow
 the pool, and nine were ultimately chosen for the program; and
 WHEREAS, The participants are Sarah Bergmann, Landry
 Hoskins, Mikayla Hurley, Matt Liles, Ethan Spesard, Mason Corr,
 Sebastian Quiroga, Josiah Spencer, and Augusta Walsh; in their work
 as interns, these individuals assist with constituent services,
 interact with community leaders, and attend civic events throughout
 the district; moreover, they have the opportunity to travel to
 Austin to see the legislative process firsthand; and
 WHEREAS, Through hard work and dedication, these young men
 and women are learning about the urgent issues facing citizens of
 District 106 and the Lone Star State and are gaining valuable work
 experience in the field of public service; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Sarah Bergmann, Landry Hoskins,
 Mikayla Hurley, Matt Liles, Ethan Spesard, Mason Corr, Sebastian
 Quiroga, Josiah Spencer, and Augusta Walsh on their selection to
 participate in the House District 106 Internship Program and extend
 to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the interns as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
