 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
 of Bruce Debs Mosier of Houston, who passed away on January 9, 2017,
 at the age of 80; and
 WHEREAS, A native of Houston, "Bubba" Mosier was born to
 Luella and Bud Mosier in 1936; he graduated from the University of
 Houston Law School and went on to enjoy a successful career in law
 that spanned more than half a century; a mediator and an expert in
 real estate law and eminent domain, he worked for Harris County as
 an assistant attorney; he also participated in the self-proclaimed
 "Counsel of Elders," mentored his fellow attorneys, and provided
 legal services to First Baptist Church Heights and the Fraternal
 Order of Eagles No. 63, of which he was a member; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Mosier had a great passion for music, and for
 the past decade, he led the Sunshiners Show Band, singing and
 playing the four-string banjo, guitar, ukulele, keyboard, and
 harmonica; in his spare time, he took part in a number of hobbies
 that included banjo repair, woodworking, and crocheting; and
 WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Mosier enjoyed the love
 and support of his wife, the former Diane Evans, with whom he shared
 more than four decades; he was the devoted father of four children,
 Tammy, Laura, David, and Carli, and with the passing years, he had
 the pleasure of welcoming into his family seven grandchildren,
 Catie, Natalie, Amanda, Trinity, Nova, Max, and Raiden, and a
 great-grandson, Henry; and
 WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Bubba Mosier
 will remember the way he touched their lives with his warmth and
 delightful sense of humor, and he will forever hold a treasured
 place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Bruce Debs Mosier
 and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family and to
 his many friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bruce
 Mosier.
