R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Brandy Guthrie was installed as president of the
Austin Board of Realtors on January 21, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Since joining ABOR in 2005, Ms. Guthrie has
distinguished herself in a variety of leadership roles, serving at
the local level on numerous committees and task forces and at the
state level on the organization's Political Involvement Council and
Infrastructure and Utilities Subcommittee; in 2013, she was named a
director of the board, a position she ably held for three years
before being elected president; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Guthrie earned her real estate license in 2001,
and since August 2010, she has worked as an agent at Sky Realty,
where her specialties include residential, investment, and
commercial real estate; a graduate of the Texas Realtors Leadership
Program, she holds a number of professional certifications in her
field; and
WHEREAS, Brandy Guthrie has demonstrated an exceptional
commitment to furthering the mission of the Austin Board of
Realtors, and the vision and breadth of experience she brings to her
new role as president are sure to benefit the association; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Brandy Guthrie on her inauguration
as president of the Austin Board of Realtors and extend to her
sincere best wishes for a successful and productive term; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Guthrie as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
