H.R. No. 983 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories of Mathias Robles Jr. of Dallas, who passed away on February 10, 2016, at the age of 65; and WHEREAS, Matt Robles was born in Dallas on November 16, 1950, to Mathias and Victoria Robles; he enjoyed a rewarding marriage of 40 years with his wife, Laura Ellen Robles, and he was the proud father of two daughters, Alicia and Diana, with whom he shared his ability to fix anything, from cars to roofs; his life was further enriched when his family grew to include three beloved grandsons; and WHEREAS, Mr. Robles possessed talent in a variety of trades, including landscaping, building, and cooking, and he was known as a problem solver; inspired by a lifelong love of learning, he returned to school later in life and earned a bachelor's degree from Southern Methodist University; and WHEREAS, Admired for his generous nature, his leadership, and his devotion to his family, Matt Robles brightened the world for all who knew him, and they will forever hold him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Mathias Robles Jr. and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, Laura Ellen Robles; to his children, Alicia Clinton and her husband, Chuck, and Diana Wilder and her husband, Jessie; to his grandchildren, Jacob and Aidan Clinton and Carson Wilder; to his siblings, Rosemary Trevino, Charles Anthony Robles, Terecita Puente, and John Gilbert Robles; and to his many other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mathias Robles Jr. Herrero ______________________________ Speaker of the House I certify that H.R.
