The bill would amend the Transportation Code relating to the designation of an authorized emergency vehicle. The bill would allow an emergency management or airport security vehicle to be equipped with flashing blue and amber lights if the vehicle is owned or leased and has been designated or authorized by the joint board. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
