The bill would amend the Property Code to require a landlord who issues a parking permit to a tenant to issue a permit which corresponds to the term of the tenant's lease and may not suspended or terminate the permit prior to the termination of the lease. The Office of the Attorney General anticipates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
