The bill would require a public employer to provide written notice to an employee of the ability of eligible employees to participate in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program administered by the United States Department of Education. It is assumed any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within current resources.The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
