                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 29, 2017      TO: Honorable Joan Huffman, Chair, Senate Committee on State Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1098 by Zaffirini (Relating to recordings, acknowledgments, and proofs of certain written instruments.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code and Civil Practices and Remedies Code to address the notarization of certain instruments. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration and the Secretary of State, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
