The bill would require that the procedures for the election of professional staff to a campus or district-level committee provide for appropriate and inclusive representation and prohibits the procedures from limiting eligibility to members of a single organization.The bill would take effect September 1, 2017, or immediately if passed with the necessary voting margins.
