                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 5, 2017      TO: Honorable Charles Schwertner, Chair, Senate Committee on Health & Human Services      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB139 by Taylor, Van (Relating to the applicability of adverse licensing, listing, or registration decisions by certain health and human services agencies.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Section 531.951(a) of the Government Code to add certain provider types for which health and human services agencies must maintain information about adverse licensing, listing, or registration actions for a period of ten years. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. The Health and Human Services Commission indicates it could absorb the costs associated with the bill within its current resources.  Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
