The bill would amend the Occupations Code by adding Chapter 116 relating to prohibiting health care practitioners from providing alcoholic beverages to certain persons, imposing an administrative penalty. It is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
