                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 5, 2017      TO: Honorable John Kuempel, Chair, House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB404 by Kolkhorst (Relating to prohibiting certain health care practitioners from providing alcoholic beverages to certain persons; imposing an administrative penalty.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Occupations Code by adding Chapter 116 relating to prohibiting health care practitioners from providing alcoholic beverages to certain persons, imposing an administrative penalty. It is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
