The bill would amend the Government Code to require the Office of Court Administration to conduct a study to determine how records for misdemeanors punishable by fine only, other than traffic offenses, are held by the local courts. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
