                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 29, 2017      TO: Honorable Kelly Hancock, Chair, Senate Committee on Business & Commerce      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB526 by Birdwell (Relating to the abolishment of certain advisory committees and other entities created to assist or advise state agencies or officers.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill amends various statutes including the Government, Local Government, Family, and Occupations Codes to abolish certain advisory committees and other entities created to assist or advise state agencies or officers. According to the Office of the Attorney General, removal of the Residential Mortgage Fraud Task Force and the Information Resources Steering Committee would reduce work for the agency, however, the fiscal impact would be negligible. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
