The bill would amend the Government Code to exempt a governmental body, as defined in Chapter 551, from open meeting requirements when deliberating certain security-related topics. The bill would also specify that certain network security information of a governmental entity is confidential. It is assumed that any costs to implement the provisions of the bill can be absorbed within existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
