                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 17, 2017      TO: Honorable Abel Herrero, Chair, House Committee on Land & Resource Management      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB736 by Hancock (relating to a report on the sale of retail electric power by the General Land Office.), Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would require the General Land Office (GLO) to submit a report by September 1, 2018, to the legislature regarding its sale of electric power.  Based on the analysis of GLO, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
