                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 21, 2017      TO: Honorable Robert Nichols, Chair, Senate Committee on Transportation      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB769 by Watson (Relating to the issuance of specialty license plates for recipients of the Combat Medical Badge.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to issue specialty license plates for recipients of the Combat Medical Badge. License plates issued must include the Combat Medical Badge emblem and must include the words "Combat Medical Badge" at the bottom of each plate. Based on the information and analysis provided by the DMV, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
