                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 11, 2017      TO: Honorable Craig Estes, Chair, Senate Committee on Natural Resources & Economic Development      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB794 by Miles (Relating to the biennial report to the legislature on grants made to entities under the Texas Enterprise Fund.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code relating to the biennial report to the legislature on grants made to entities under the Texas Enterprise Fund. The bill would require the report to include certain information on grant recipients that are historically underutilized businesses. This analysis assumes any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed by the Trusteed Programs Within the Office of the Governor using existing resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
