                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 9, 2017      TO: Honorable Eddie Lucio, Jr., Chair, Senate Committee on Intergovernmental Relations      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB814 by Hinojosa (Relating to the board of directors of the Agua Special Utility District.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Special District Local Laws Code relating to the board of directors for the Agua Special Utility District. The bill would require one of the directors to be elected by voters of the City of La Joya and two directors elected at-large. The bill would prohibit the board from employing a director as an employee, consultant, or contractor an elected official of the other taxing entity that employees the director or a person related to the elected official in the third degree of consanguinity or affinity.
