The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the regulation of certain health organizations certified by the Texas Medical Board (TMB). The bill would require certain individuals to report violations to TMB and to the Attorney General. Under the provisions of the bill, if a person is in violation, they would be subject to certain penalties. The Comptroller of Public Accounts reports revenue from the provisions of the bill cannot be estimated due to an unknown number of violations that would be subject to an administrative penalty. TMB and Office of the Attorney General anticipate any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
