The bill would dissolve the Falls County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 and transfer the assets to the City of Marlin. The dissolution would take effect on the effective date of the bill. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2017. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
