                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 25, 2017      TO: Honorable Eddie Lucio, Jr., Chair, Senate Committee on Intergovernmental Relations      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB989 by Watson ( Relating to the maximum loan amount made to persons under the owner-builder loan program.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code relating to the maximum loan amount made to persons under the owner-builder loan program. The bill would delete provisions relating to the total amortized, repayable loans made by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) and other entities to an owner-builder under Subchapter FF, Chapter 2306, Government Code. TDHCA anticipates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
