                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 85TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 28, 2017      TO: Honorable Eddie Lucio, Jr., Chair, Senate Committee on Intergovernmental Relations      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB990 by Watson (Relating to the requirements for an application for a low income housing tax credit allocation from the nonprofit set-aside.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code relating to the requirements for an application for a low income housing tax credit allocation from the nonprofit set-aside. The bill would eliminate certain requirements for an application for a housing tax credit allocation.Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.The bill would take effect September 1, 2017.
