SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 32
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Nick Schreiber, who has been named the Texas Big
Brother of the Year; and
WHEREAS, Nick Schreiber is a mentor with Big Brothers Big
Sisters of Wichita Falls; he was chosen for this prestigious
honor from among 5,500 mentors across the state; and
WHEREAS, For more than two years, Mr. Schreiber and his
"little brother," Gavin Thompson, have shared a wide range of
experiences together; they have attended movies, taken museum
trips, and made visits to the Schreiber Brothers Dairy in
Windthorst; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Schreiber also serves as chairman of the
board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wichita Falls; in addition,
he is dedicated to his career as director of marketing for SLA
Architects; and
WHEREAS, Nick Schreiber is having a positive impact on
young people in Texas through his work with Big Brothers Big
Sisters, and it is truly fitting that he receive special
recognition for his outstanding leadership; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th
Legislature, hereby commend Nick Schreiber on his commitment to
serving others and extend congratulations to him on being named
the Texas Big Brother of the Year; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
