R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital has earned a 2017
Texas Award for Performance Excellence from the Quality Texas
Foundation; and
WHEREAS, Since 1993, the Quality Texas Foundation has
presented the Texas Award for Performance Excellence to businesses,
health care providers, schools, government agencies, and nonprofit
organizations that have proven themselves leaders in their
respective fields; winners of the annual award are chosen based on
an extensive evaluation process, which includes hundreds of hours
of on-site visits; and
WHEREAS, Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital was established in
1981, and today, the hospital offers the only Level IV trauma center
in Katy; other specialties include orthopedics, women's and
children's health, heart and vascular services, sports medicine and
rehabilitation, diabetes self-management, cancer services,
advanced diagnostic imaging, and a fully accredited chest pain
center; and
WHEREAS, By providing superior and compassionate care,
Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital is making a lasting difference in
the lives of countless Texans, and its receipt of this prestigious
accolade is a testament to the ongoing commitment to excellence of
its staff; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Memorial
Hermann Katy Hospital on its receipt of a 2017 Texas Award for
Performance Excellence from the Quality Texas Foundation and extend
to all those associated with the hospital sincere best wishes for
continued success in their important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the hospital as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
