R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Katy Independent School District Financial
Services Department has distinguished itself by earning a
Transparency Star from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts;
and
WHEREAS, The Transparency Stars program recognizes local
government entities that go above and beyond in their efforts to
make information about their spending and revenue easily accessible
to the public; and
WHEREAS, By providing useful data, figures, and analysis,
Katy ISD garnered a Transparency Star in the area of Traditional
Finances; in addition to meeting a host of other criteria, awardees
in this category must post online thorough and recent financial
summaries as well as visual tools showing trends in revenue,
expenditures, and property tax rates, and they must also make
updated budgets and financial reports available for download; and
WHEREAS, The Katy Independent School District has
demonstrated an unwavering commitment to fiscal responsibility and
clarity, and it is indeed a pleasure to honor the district for its
noteworthy achievements; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate the Katy
Independent School District Financial Services Department on its
receipt of a Transparency Star for Traditional Finances from the
Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to the district
sincere best wishes for continued success in its important work;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Katy ISD as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
